Hi, I am Nikeyia Davis better known as The Kidney Nurse. I bring you 20 years of expertise working with individuals with chronic kidney disease. I am a Certified Nephrology Registered Nurse, as well as a Certified Kidney Health Coach. I am an active member on the National Kidney Foundation's Kidney Advocacy Committee and the Health Policy Representative for the American Nephrology Nurses Association. My mission is to significantly decrease the prevelance and incidence of kidney disease starting with my local community, state, then nation.
While there are many causes of kidney disease, my mission is to focus on the 2 leading causes, diabetes and high blood pressure. I understand the importance of educating you on the most effective ways to take care of your body and decrease your chances of developing kidney disease and kidney failure.

The Kidney Nurse is holding a virtual 5K walk/run to bring awarenss to kidney health. The proceeds will help individuals having touble obtaining medications and to purchase blood pressure and glucose monitors for ones in need.
